FRANCA GIOVANROSA

Was born in Rome in 1978 and lives and works in Genoa, Bologna and Rome. Her artistic work materializes in the field of photography and it has been involving the creation of art installations for two years. The decisive element of her artistic production is rust that pervades and is implied in and all her photos for investigating postmodern anthropic nature and is much more implicit in her installations. The photographic element is almost hidden in them, but it is the meaningful heart of complex visual architectures where the meditation on man, memory and society unveils a critical and anthropological attitude. Awaiting her next solo exhibition at Sabrina Raffaghello Contemporary Art Gallery (Alessandria) we mention some of her most recent shows: cittàltra (“OtherCity”), ES Contemporary Art Gallery (Meran, 2010); cittàltra (“OtherCity”), mc2gallery (Milan, 2009); cittàltra (“OtherCity”), Digital Culture (Second Life, 2009); Vita sospesa (“Suspended Life”), Staglieno Monumental Cemetery (Genoa, 2007). Some of her collective exhibitions were: Intimate Travel, International Centre for Photography at Scavi Scaligeri Museum (Verona, 2010); Rooted!, Galerie Clairefontaine (Luxemburgo, 2009).
